Toyota says it is more than half way through the 180,865 cars that were recalled for work on faulty accelerator pedals or brakes.
Seven models from the Toyota range need remedial work on the accelerator pedal, which takes around half an hour to complete, while 8500 Prius hybrids need a software upgrade for their brake system.
Staff at more than 200 Toyota centres around the country are putting in extra hours to work through the recall programme, and the manufacturer says 96% of the 600 owners it has asked have said they're happy with the recall process and work.
The manufacturer also says that all of the required work on production lines has been completed, which means buyers will experience no delivery delays on their cars.
