Toyota has given SR versions of its Yaris supermini an equipment upgrade, including a touch-screen satellite-navigation system.
In total, there's now £1100-worth of extra equipment in the new SR models, but the car costs only £350 more than the T3 model on which it is based.
The SR now has a removable touch-screen TomTom satellite-navigation unit, which is integrated with the car's stereo and offers Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.
Other additions include 16-inch alloy wheels, lowered suspension, a rear roof spoiler, chrome exhaust finisher, brushed alloy gearknob and front scuff plates.
There are also nine airbags, electric front windows, remote central locking, air-conditioning and front-foglamps.
Power comes from a choice of two engines. One is an 86bhp 1.3-litre petrol engine, which can propel the Yaris SR from 0-62mph in 11.5sec and on to a top speed of 106mph. Fuel economy is 47.1mpg on average and carbon dioxide emissions are 141g/km, putting it in VED band C.
The other engine is an 89bhp 1.1.4-litre diesel. It can power the Yaris to 62mph in 10.7sec and then on to 109mph. Average fuel economy is 62.8mpg, while emissions are 119g/km, which puts the car in VED band B.
Each engine is available with a five-speed gearbox, although a MultiMode automatic transmission can be ordered for an extra £500.
The Yaris SR is available in three- or five-door forms, and is available now from £10,995.
