A new 193bhp turbocharged version of the Mercedes A-Class is now available.
The A200 Turbo costs £20,695 for a three-door and £21,295 for a five-door,
£2575 more than the similarly equipped Avantgarde SE using the next most powerful 134bhp engine.
Besides added performance, the Turbo has a slightly meaner look. Lowered sports suspension, large 18-inch alloy wheels, matt silver radiator grille and a pair of stainless steel exhaust pipes are all fitted.
Inside there are part-leather sports seats, aluminium trimmings and stainless steel pedals. Otherwise, equipment levels are the same as for an Avantgarde SE, so front, side and curtain airbags, CD player, air-conditioning, electric windows and mirrors and remote central locking are all standard.
