Subaru has tweaked its Legacy family car, with the biggest changes under the bonnet.
The 3.0 models have what the company calls SI-Drive system (Subaru Intelligent Drive), which allows the driver to choose between three different engine settings – economy, normal and sporty. You choose which mode you require from buttons on the steering wheel.
Prices start at £17,995 for the 2.0R saloon, rising to £29,895 for the 3.0R Outback.
There's also a new entry-level model for the Subaru Impreza.
The 1.5R Sports Wagon is a four-wheel-drive Impreza estate that costs £12,495.
The car has a new 1.5-litre engine - the least powerful engine in Subaru's range, which provides a 0-60mph time of 13.5 seconds and a top speed of 109mph.
Other vital stats are average fuel economy of 35.8mpg, and CO2 emissions are 184g/km, which put the car into the 23% company car tax bracket.
The new model is well equipped, with alloy wheels, climate control, CD player, electric windows front and driver, passenger and side airbags as standard. Sales start next month.
