UK drivers' traffic light confusion

More than 50% of drivers in the UK don't know the correct order in which traffic lights change, according to new research.
The study by online car retailer Autoquake revealed that just 48% of drivers managed to correctly identify red as the signal that follows an amber light.
Pedestrians in Wales who are waiting to cross the road at traffic lights should be most worried, with 48% of the country's drivers believing that green follows amber.
Motorists in the East Midlands are the UK's safest, with 64% knowing correctly stating that red follows amber.
Another worrying trend showed itself in the North East, with 14% of those questioned in the region expected green and amber to follow amber – a combination that doesn't actually exist.
