The second-generation Golf Plus now starts from as little as £7500 on the used market. It sits between the standard Golf hatchback and the Golf Estate – and is roughly the same length and width as the hatch but is taller and features a raised seating position. This extra height means more space for luggage and passengers. The rear seats aren't as adaptable as some of its rivals, but the extra height makes getting children in and out of child seats that much easier than in the hatch.
Launched in 2009, all versions get air-conditioning and front and rear electric windows. SE models add automatic headlights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors and alloy wheels.
