This is the Vauxhall Insignia VXR Supersport, a 170mph replacement for the current Insignia VXR.
The high-performance Supersport is 15mph faster than the outgoing car, but undercuts its predecessor by almost £4000 with a price of just £29,995. Vauxhall claims this makes it the UK's fastest and most powerful sub-£30k road car.
Power comes from a 321bhp 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine. The VXR Supersport will cover the 0-60mph dash in just 5.6 seconds and go on to a top speed of 170mph.
The Supersport gets Vauxhall’s Hiperstrut front suspension system, which is designed to improve steering feel and handling, while an adaptive damping system is also standard.
The 170mph Vauxhall Insignia VXR Supersport is £3760 cheaper than the car it replaces
Like all new Vauxhall passenger cars, the Insignia VXR Supersport comes with the company's 100,000-mile lifetime warranty. The VXR Supersport is available to order now.
