Vauxhall did its best to steal some fanfare from the Ford Mondeo at the Geneva Motor Show by unveiling the GTC concept car, which points at the Vectra's replacement.

This computer-generated image takes that concept one stage further and shows what the production version of the Mondeo rival is likely to look like when it arrives next year.

The car could make its world debut at the London Motor Show in the summer of 2008, and will be given a new name – Insignia is one under consideration.
