The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer now comes with a new top-of-the-range diesel engine – a 192bhp 2.0-litre Biturbo.
The 2.0-litre engine is the same unit that features in the Astra and Insignia, and is the most powerful unit available in the large MPV.
This results in a top speed of 135mph, yet it has claimed average economy of 50.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 149g/km. The 0-62mph sprint takes just 8.5 seconds.
The Biturbo version of the seven-seat MPV is available in SE, SRi or Elite trims, with prices starting at £27,685 for both the SRi and SE models. The Elite is £29,185.
It is available only with a six-speed manual gearbox, and there are no immediate plans to release an automatic.
The Zafira Tourer Biturbo is available to order now, and first cars will head out to customers in May.
