Volvo C30 and C70 prices revealed

05 October 2009

Prices for Volvo's face-lifted C30 and C70 models have been revealed.

The entry-level price of the C30 has been cut with the introduction of a new 'S' trim level, but most models in the range have gone up in price.

The C70 is also pricier, with a £700 increase on all versions except the range-topping models.

The C30 1.6 starts at £14,49, making it £1000 cheaper than the pre-face-lift entry-level 1.6 . S trim includes electronic climate control, a leather steering wheel and gearknob, plus alloy wheels.

However, the 1.6 and 1.6 R-Design have gone up by £750 to £16,245, the mid-ranking 2.0D SE has increased by £515 to 18,095 and the range-topping T5 R-Design now costs £20,235 - a £250 increase.

Most versions of the C70 coupe-cabriolet have increased by £700 compared with pre-face-lift versions. That takes the cost of an entry-level 2.0D S to £25,995 and the best-selling D5 SE to £29,995.

Models at the top of the C70 range have been less affected by the increases. The price of the range-topping diesel D5 SE Lux Premium has increased by only £50, while the T5 SE Lux Premium is now £33,595 - £280 cheaper than its pre-face-lift equivalent.
