Volvo recalls more than 7000 cars

Volvo is recalling more than 7000 cars in Britain because of two separate problems.

In total, 5560 diesel S60, V70, XC70 and XC90 models made in 2006 have been recalled because of a problem with the fuel injectors that could lead to the engine catching fire.

In a separate recall, 2002 V70 and XC70s built in 2007 are being recalled due to a problem with the side airbags firing too slowly.

Recall letters have been sent to the owners of all of the vehicles potentially affected, which will be repaired free of charge.

The recalls are part of a wider recall of the vehicles across Europe, which totals more than 56,000 cars.
