Volvo unveils seven eco models

Volvo will reveal an extended range of economical models at the Geneva motor show next week.
Released under the DRIVe banner, models being unveiled are the XC60, V70, XC70 and S80. The C30, S40 and V50 already have DRIVe models.
The new models will join the DRIVe range, which is Volvo's brand for its greenest cars. All DRIVe models use a conventional diesel engine and a manual gearbox optimised for low fuel consumption, as well as low-rolling-resistance tyres and aerodynamic bodies.
In addition, the C30, S40 and V50 all feature engine stop-start and an energy-regeneration system to further reduce emissions.
The XC60 and XC70 both benefit from the introduction of front-wheel drive, which drops emissions below 160g/km, boosting the car's appeal to company car buyers.
The cars will all be available in the UK this summer, with prices announced closer to the on-sale date.
