Volkswagen's Passat range is to get a new Highline Plus model, available to order now with deliveries starting in January.
In addition to the Highline trim, Highline Plus adds a chrome grille surround and louvres, Bluetooth with a touchscreen adaptor, and satellite-navigation.
Highline Plus costs £750 more than standard Highline trim.
Satellite-navigation
The CD-based system has an integrated radio and MP3-compatible CD player. The five-inch colour screen is touch-operated and an aux-in slot allows external multimedia devices to be connected.
Bluetooth
With a dash-mounted cradle for the telephone, the Bluetooth adaptor uses a touchscreen that displays the phone book, text messages and caller ID. Calls can be answered or ended using the steering-wheel mounted controls.
The system is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled phones, including the iPhone and Blackberry.
Engine choices and prices
Highline Plus is available with the same engine choices as Highline models.
