Fancy taking a hot Volkswagen Scirocco for a spin around a race track? iPhone owners can now 'virtually' do just that with a Scirocco R racing game available as a free download from the Apple App store.

The Scirocco R 24-hour Challenge has three different game modes – qualifying, 24-hour and multiplayer.

Game players can also customise their Scirocco and listen to genuine Scirocco R engine notes. The game is controlled either with the touchscreen or by tilt sensor.

The App-downloading public has already given its verdict on the virtual car – it has a creditable three stars. We'll give our verdict on the real car in November.
