Facelifted Touareg

Volkswagen has given its Touareg off-roader a mid-life face-lift.

The car gets new lights and the same silver-coloured grille as the Passat, Eos and recently face-lifted Touran. The front wings have changed, while the rear end is also new with different lights and bumpers.

Inside the seats have been updated, while an upmarket surround-sound system from Dynaudio joins the options list.

As well as visual changes, the Touareg also gets revised anti-lock brakes and a new electronic stability programme. Volkswagen says it braking distances are reduced by 20% and there's less risk of a rollover. Engine line-up remains the same as before.

Prices will be announced closer to the car's on-sale date of January.
