Exact prices haven't been fixed yet, but we expect small rises of a few hundred pounds.
That would mean that the Cooper will cost around £12,600 and the Cooper S £15,700. Cheaper petrol and diesel-powered Mini One models will be launched in the first half of 2007 from around £11,000.
Other bills should be reduced, however. Economy gains of around 10% are expected and lower carbon dioxide emissions will guarantee lower company car tax bandings.
Servicing intervals are extended, too, and Mini will retain the popular TLC servicing package, which includes routine maintenance for five years/50,000 miles for just £150.
