What Car? guide to portable sat-nav - Navman ICN330

24 November 2006
Cost£180
For Value for money, easy to adjust
Against Screen difficult to read
Verdict Bargain option but you get what you pay for

The cheapest model in our test, this is also the only one without a touchscreen. Instead the data entry buttons take up space on the unit, leaving a rather small screen showing the route itself.

We found the screen rather dark, with lots of grey colour, which made it harder to read. There was no way of finding the nearest restaurant, and it failed to recognise one of our destinations. However, it was very easy to fit and tilt for a different viewing angle.
