What Car? guide to portable sat-nav - Navman ICN750

24 November 2006
Cost £500
For Predictive place name feature works well
Against A bit bulky and touchscreen is slow
Verdict Plenty of features - a solid performer

The Navman is one of the chunkier units, but then it is also has a camera. The idea is that you take a picture of a location and can then navigate back to it. Buttons display a list of the nearest fuel stations and parking areas but we found the touchscreen itself fiddly to use and slow to respond. The predictive place name feature was useful and local road names and places of interest were plentiful.
