What Car? news review of 2010 - January

The year kicked off (as usual) with a trip to a snowy Motor City for the Detroit motor show, where there were 60 premieres.

January is also the month we hold our annual Car of the Year awards and in 2010 it was the Peugeot 3008 that reigned supreme. It was a great car in a new category for our awards.

A few car makers were in crisis at the start of the year. Saab's future was far from secured, but perhaps the biggest story that started to unfold was the Toyota Recall saga, where the company started to recall millions of cars for safety checks.
