What Car? Q&A - Can you get discounts on extras?

Q: I'm thinking about buying a new BMW 5 Series. Although I think your Target Price is an excellent starting point for negotiations, can I expect similar discounts on optional extras?

A: Absolutely. Our Target Price gives a good indication of how much of a discount is available on the standard car, and if you choose to add extras to it (such as a satellite-navigation system or leather seats, for example), you should expect a similar price reduction.

Remember, the Target Price is the maximum you should pay for a new car. There's nothing to stop you haggling for an even bigger discount on the car's list price or on its optional extras.
