Q: Does Mercedes intend to bring out a new C-Class Sports Coupe and, if so, when?

A: Mercedes is always particularly tight-lipped on its plans for future models.

Our insiders know a little about Mercedes' plans, however, and they do include a new version of the C-Class Sports Coupe.

It's due to go on sale next year, and the car will be based on the current C-Class platform, not the new one, because it is considered too large for a coupe. So, while it will certainly adopt the look of the new C-Class, it will be the old C-Class underneath.

Expect the car to be launched in mid to late 2008.
