What Car? Q&A - When will the diesel CLS arrive?

02 June 2005
Q: Please can you tell me when the diesel versions of the Mercedes CLS go on sale? How much are they likely to depreciate?
Barrie Myers

A: The 224bhp 3.2-litre V6 diesel will be available in the CLS towards the end of this year and will probably cost around £43,000.

What Car? used car experts have not yet worked on residual figures for this particular model, but they’re likely to be slightly better than those of the 3.5-litre petrol, which is already on sale and has been appraised. Expect the diesel to hold on to about 60% of its original value after three years.
