What Car Q&A - Where can I get kerbed alloys repaired?

30 March 2007
Q: I have recently kerbed the alloys on my Peugeot 307 and I am looking to get them repaired. Do you have any recommendations about which firms I should go to?
Paul Pender

A: We don't recommend any specific firms to repair your alloys, but we'd suggest you ring round a few companies to get a quote for the job. Here are some links to companies that will do the job:

'www.chipsaway.co.uk', tel 0800 028 7878;
'www.wickedwheels.co.uk', tel 0870 3003 224;
'www.scuffs-n-scratches.co.uk', tel 0151 482 0906 (North west England only);
'www.clean-image.co.uk', tel 01245 350 035 (Essex);
'http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/', tel 01732 367771 (Kent);
'www.wheelcentre-scotland.co.uk', tel 0141 641 5483 (Scotland);
' http://www.lvvservices.com/alloy-wheel.htm', tel 01656 658195(South Wales).

Expect to pay in the region of £55 to £80 per wheel, depending on the wheel size and the severity of the damage. Spit & Polish quoted us £66.39 for full refurbishment of a standard, 16-inch alloy.
