What Car? Q&A - Which small cars have big seats?

09 February 2006
Q: I'm 6ft 3in tall and weigh 17 stone. I'm looking for a small car with the biggest, most comfortable seats possible. Seating for more than two people isn't a requirement, as I seldom carry passengers.

I drive up to 100 miles per day, so ideally I'd like something like a Toyota Yaris with Jaguar S-type seats!

A: We recently tested three superminis with a reader who is 6ft 2in tall. He found the Honda Jazz and Renault Clio seats a bit firm. He thought the Vauxhall Corsa was the most comfortable, and said it offered 'big-car feel' in a compact package.

The Corsa also won our Car of the Year award this year, so we'd suggest taking one out for a test drive.

Another idea is to visit a car supermarket, where there will be an array of different cars on sale - this will allow you to try out the seats in a variety of models in one location.
