If you ask the man in the street what ESP is he may answer 'extra sensory perception'. It is a predictable response, but how many people actually know what ESP on cars is?

Well, in short, it's a vehicle safety system that has proved its worth – according to research by Volkswagen, traffic fatalities could be cut by 35% if all cars are fitted with ESP.
