For Gorgeous looks coupled to searing performance from the sonorous V12 engine, and there's huge pull from low revs. The cabin in the Aston Martin DB9 is a bespoke, sumptuous place to be and the seats are superbly comfortable.
Against Forget the rear seats - the DB9 is really a two-seater with luggage space behind the seats. Bumpy roads throw the Aston out of kilter and the steering is too heavy at low speeds.
The Aston Martin DB9 is jaw-bruisingly stunning to look at and the engine is a powerhouse. For some that's enough, but the hard ride, heavy steering and road noise spoil it for us.
Aston Martin's DB9 has the looks and pace to take on the best from around the world and it's surprisingly affordable for a car of this speed and class.
The V12 engine is key to the DB9's appeal, pumping out 450bhp and with instant grunt from low revs. Inside, the DB9 also appeals with its magnificently appointed cabin and supportive front seats, but it's not as well equipped as it should be.
Used values of this Aston are holding up, helped by a decent quality and reliability track record. Where the DB9 falls down is on bumpy roads, where the ride is jarring on anything but the smoothest surfaces.
We're also not fans of the overly heavy steering that makes parking a pain, as well as marring the overall driving experience. Throw in running costs that would give a Premiership footballer cause to think and the DB9 falls short of the best in this rarified class.
