For The Aston Martin Virage Volante is a beautiful car with a wonderful V12 engine, and the variable suspension set-up means it can play the role of sports car or grand tourer
Against Some may think it looks too much like every other Aston. The rear seats are virtually useless
The Aston Martin Virage Volante is not as sporty as a Ferrari and far more expensive than a Jaguar XKR Convertible, but if you're in the mood then nothing will appeal more
The Aston Martin Virage Volante (along with the Vantage, DB9 and DBS) completes a quartet of V12 Astons, and sits between the DB9 and DBS. It, therefore, has to straddle the void between the hardcore DBS and the touring-oriented DB9; a trick it pulls off remarkably well without straying too much towards either. That is, in part, thanks to a 10-stage, dual-mode adaptive suspension system.
Meanwhile, the V12 engine is tuned for torque rather than outright power and is all the better for it.
As a bespoke, hand-built car with a V12 engine, the Virage is expensive to buy and will continue to be expensive to run, but anyone looking at one of these will expect no less. The good news is that the desirability of Astons keeps resale values reasonably high.
