    My car

Hello to you all, I have just traded in my BMW 320I M-Sport for an Audi S3 quattro and so far everything is good. I drove the car to Scotland from the Midlands and it handled well in all conditions. Its fast, very fast and one could amass 12 points in no time at all if not careful. I think it will be a bit gutsier on fuel than the BM was but that is understandble when you think it does have a turbo. Other than that its comfier to sit in with clear well positioned controls and dials and has a brill radio system fitted. One thing that does disappoint and its only a small issue it has no parking sensors fitted, yes I know they are an optional extra but one would think in this day and age this type of car should have them fitted as standard??

Its a little bit more expensive to insure but HEY its in a higher group so horses for courses Hopefully things will stay good and I like reading all the reviews they are very helpful when trying to decide on what car to go for next! Alex

    My car

Owned a Audi A3 2.0TDI 140 Sline for 4 months. its absolutly brilliant. i test drove alot of cars before we got the audi, its a true hot hatch.. it does EVERYTHING, its fast, torquey, safe, great for overtaking, reliable, big boot, well built, comfortable, spacious, well equipped, practical, cheap to tax & insure, 60mpg on a good run, 43mpg in town driving, great mid range pull, nice smooth gearbox and great engine. the one i dive had 101k on the clock, it now has 107k on the clock on a 2006 plate, it feels brand new and it feels like the engine is still opening up. going to remap it can get 300ft lbs of torque which is more pulling power than a porsche boxter and subaru impreza. its the BEST hatchback out, the steering is light but it handles very well indeed, give you confidence to take it round corners at speed and the steering gives you good feedback, brilliant car. there are no bad things about this car. like i said it does everything at such a great price.

    My car

I have had the Audi for a month now and covered over 700 miles doing a mixture of motorway, A road and town driving. The build quality is excellent; it really feels like you are in a high quality car. I was considering buying a Golf but I felt that Audi had the edge with a better build quality with generally more pleasant feel. The 1.4 engine is a real gem with a good spread of power and torque right across the rev range. When driving in town it picks up power quickly and there is more than enough power for overtaking when on A roads. For motorway driving the 6th gear makes for easy cruising with low noise levels. The fuel economy has been good and I have averaged 39 mpg. Only motorway trips you can easily get into the mid 40’s. I was actually really impressed with the sales process of Bath Audi who was very professional in total contrast to the VW dealer in Bristol. I am hoping that with Audi fixed price servicing the costs will not be too high but time will tell. This version of the car looks fantastic with twin exhausts, people could easily be fooled into thinking it is an S-line. I previously owned an MX5 so I am slightly biased; the sports badge is a little bit deceiving as this is definitely not a driver’s car. The handling is competent but slightly too light, you really can’t throw it into corners. I would guess that something like a BMW1 would be more fun to drive. Overall it is good looking high quality car with a fantastic engine and the best way into an Audi.

I've had my A3 from new for 3 1/2 years and it's fantastic. Ride is firm as it's the Sport model but certainly not uncomfortable. Average MPG is around 35 (not bad for a 200BHP car that does 0-60 in less than 7 seconds)though it does have quite a thirst for oil. Eats Astra VXRs for breakfast from the lights (I know, I've tried it) and is superbly understated.
