The Audi A6 range offers something for just about any executive customer. The 2.0 TDI will be the big seller, because it combines tax-friendly emissions with all the image and kit of pricier models.
Those with richer tastes – and deeper pockets – will look to the six-cylinder, four-wheel-drive models, which have continent-crushing pace and composure.
Although SE trim provides loads of kit and a more forgiving ride, many people will be drawn to the sportier looks – and handling – of the S line models. We can see the appeal, but you pay the price both financially and in terms of ride comfort.
All versions are well equipped, but the extensive options list is likely to prove tempting, with luxuries such as cooled, massaging seats, an upgraded stereo, TV reception and a head-up display to choose from. The all-LED headlights look the business, too, but they’re not cheap, at nearly £3000.
