Once you’ve made the choice to buy a Bentley Continental GT Convertible, there’s only one more decision to make – which engine to go for. It’s a tough choice, because they’re all immense. There’s a 500bhp V8 or a stonking W12 with either 567bhp in standard form or 616bhp in Speed form.
The V8 is our pick, because it’s much cheaper to buy and run. Many of the GTC’s well-heeled customers won’t care a jot about that, but they might care about the V8’s superior touring range – it’ll go around half as far again on a single tank of fuel.
All examples come stuffed with luxury goodies, including satellite-navigation, climate and cruise controls, an elaborate stereo and acres of leather trim.
If you can afford to buy a Bentley GTC, you can probably afford to splash out on a few optional extras. You’ll have plenty to choose from, too, because if you can think of a luxury item, you’ll be able to add it to your car – for a price.
