For Smooth and responsive, the 325i's 3.0-litre engine is a good match for the M Sport suspension. The 325i is economical as well as powerful, averaging almost 40mpg.

Against The M Sport looks good and is great to drive, but there are downsides. The ride is stiff (unless you specify the regular suspension), especially around town, and there's quite a price hike over the SE version.
