Against It always feels like a big car, while the asking price and the running costs are every bit as scary as the performance.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The BMW M5 is most definitely a car for the performance connoisseur. Its unassuming saloon configuration ensures it blends innocently into the background, but stamp on the accelerator and it’s instantly transformed into a rabid supercar-slayer.

That said, it’s perhaps the exceptional comfort and luxurious appointment that really impresses. Dial in the softer suspension, gearbox and accelerator settings, and progress becomes turbine smooth, while the ride borders on that of a sumptuous luxury car.

Additionally, there are enough hi-tech features to enthrall the hungriest geek, while the cabin is adorned with high-quality hide and bespoke M trim.

If you don’t feel you’ve spent enough on the standard car there’s plenty of options to choose from, too. Soft close doors, active multi-contour sports seats that inflate to support you in corners, a full-length glass sunroof, night vision cameras and hands-free tailgate closing are all available.
