The Corvette Convertible comes two forms, the basic car and the Grand Sport. However, we can’t really recommend either, because both are really, really disappointing.
They don’t ride or handle anywhere near well enough, they don’t feel as fast as the numbers suggest, despite the big V8 engine that each version shares. The poor build quality will also leave you feeling very short-changed.
The amount you’ll pay to buy and run a Corvette Convertible help seal its fate. If you don’t absolutely have your heart set on one, we can recommend any number of other performance convertibles that will deliver far more ability for a similar price.
