The Corvette comes in various forms, and it’s essential that you choose carefully. Some versions are quite good fun, but others are really, really disappointing.
Sadly, it’s the cheaper models that are the disappointing ones. They’re not all that cheap, and they don’t ride or handle anywhere near well enough, they don’t feel as fast as the numbers suggest, either, and the poor build quality will leave you feeling very short-changed.
The ZO6 and ZR1 models are different beasts altogether. They have a more sophisticated suspension that greatly improves the ride and handling, and they’re both devilishly fast. Yes, they’re also pricier, but we can see a point to them.
If you don’t have your heart set on a Corvette, though, we can recommend any number of other performance cars that will deliver far more ability for a similar price.
