Find A Car Review:

For Supple-riding, easy-driving, stylish and interesting. Despite the different body, the coupe provides as much space as its five-door brother, while the prices are tempting.

Against It's not the roomiest or smoothest-riding small hatch, and the novel cabin introduces a few compromises for the driver: the profusion of digital instrument displays can be confusing.

The C4 coupe's distinctive looks put form ahead of function, and it can't match the best for driving pleasure.

C4 Our pick

Citroën C4 Coupe 1.6 16v VTi VTR 3dr

On balance, this is our favourite C4 Coupe. It has reasonable power and performance with a sensible price tag, but we'd still recommend you test drive its rivals before buying one.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The coupe version of the C4 comes only in the more sporty trims, so there aren't quite as many models to choose from as there in the five-door hatchback range.

The result is that the coupe range also starts at a higher price. Nevertheless, we prefer the same engine in both ranges, the least powerful of the 1.6-litre petrols.

As ever when you're thinking of buying a Citroen, though, remember to shop around and check Citroen's own website for details of the latest offers. These are updated on a regular basis and can give substantial savings, as well as offers such as interest-free finance.
