As befits a Ferrari flagship, the 612 Scaglietti has a thoroughbred 5.7-litre V12 engine producing 532bhp. It's as much about effortless cruising across Europe as it is about speed, although 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and a top end of 199mph guarantee the 612 a place in any supercar Top Trumps pack.
The GT credentials of the 612 are underlined by the comfort of the front seats, the amount of space afforded to the driver and front passenger, and rear seats that can genuinely hold a couple of adults for than just short trips. There's also a decent boot.
The downside of such an exotic grand tourer is monumentally steep running costs, from 13.6mpg combined economy to sky-high service costs.
