For Dynamic takes the Active spec and gives it a luxury makeover, with electric rear windows, Blue & Me phone and MP3 player connectivity, climate control, cruise control and alloy wheels. This is the most economical engine in the range, averaging more than 62mpg.

Against This is way more expensive than the equivalent petrol-engined car, and it's hard to justify the higher cost

Yes, the economy and low running costs are tempting, but the purchase price is too high. We're sure a petrol model will make more sense for more people

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

There's a wide range of engines and trims to choose from in the Bravo range, but you don't need to spend much to get all the best bits of the Bravo.

Our favourite model is the 1.4 Active - although it's not the quickest model in the range, it is the cheapest, but still comes with standard air conditioning.

The diesels are smooth and responsive, and may make some sense for higher-mileage drivers. And, no matter which model you're looking at, you have the reassurance of a five-star crash-test rating from Euro NCAP.
