    My car

The fiat bravo is one of the best well made cars I've been, it makes you feel at home and safe. The dual climate control is excellent but sometimes the windows mist up which is a let down. The six speed gear box is great which I've got on the motorway 53.3 average and about 60mpg limit ( this is at 55miles per hour ), around the town 32mpg. It has a good suspension with a good comfortable ride. It is very cheap to run on parts too.

The downside is that the steering is light and if you race the car for the use of the turbo from 10mph to 60mph in seconds then the steering becomes so light it is hard to keep the car under control, something like an insane cat in which doesn't know what to do when approaching a dog. The water on the roof runs down the cills of the door when the windows are open. The car has improved over the years and to tell the truth it is a better ride than the mazda and ford cars so please don't let the name put you off because overall I am satisfied with it and done over 10000miles in a year, I have not had anything wrong with it. The fiat bravo depends on your taste in cars if you want a car that is a bit sporty but comfortable then this could be your car if you want a really sporty with eager control then this is not.

    My car

I bought this car because I previously had a Stilo for 120,000 miles and that was reliable, comfortable and economical. And my local Fiat dealer in Ripon gives excellent service.

I've had the Bravo for 6 months now. It does about 1,000 miles per week.

Faults? None. Problems? None. Gripes? None. Reliable? Yes. Comfortable? Yes. Economical? 54mpg on regular diesel or 59mpg on BP Ultimate. Service from dealer? Excellent.

Would I have another one? If the alternative was a Bently, probably not. But as a cheap-as-chips workhorse, you bet!

    My car

had this car as a hire car when my skoda octavia was in for repairs after collision damage. First impressions pleasant car to drive good seats ok as a motorway cruiser but in the hilly areas of the peak district very disappointing down to third gear in places where the octavia glides along in 5th. Economy very poor on m1 trip only managed 41.8 where skoda does 61.2.the two best things i liked about the car where steering wheel controls and the two rear view mirrors. Major gripes NO FOOTREST my size 8's frequently stuck behind clutch pedal and transmission housing, cruise control not very easy to use. Fiat try the vw system its much more user friendly. would i buy one no. Just doesn't measure up in any way to the Diesel Octavia which is far more flexible. Hope its fixed soon

    My car

I've recently been looking round at a few cars with the idea of looking to save money in running costs. The Fiat Bravo 1.6 Diesel seemed to fit the bill, and so I have been out and test driven one.

First off, I was very impressed with the way that the car drives. Its definitely a car that you can 'chuck' into corners, and have fun with. The steering is very well weighted and reasonably communicative. The ride is generally very comfortable, and the road noise at motorway speeds is very little indeed. One word of caution that slightly ruins the driving experience - the driver's seat. It lacks under knee support and the backrest seems to have a slightly odd shape to it that takes some getting used to. Performance from the engine is very good though, and in fact pulls more like a petrol than a diesel - very impressive.

If the official figures are to be believed it will be very cheap to run. £35 a year road tax also helps.

The interior is well put together, and the soft touch plastics on the upper dash are particularly impressive. Lower plastics are harder, but still ok. Space inside is reasonable, rather than outstanding, the dash in front of the passenger cutting down on leg room too much for them.

If you can get a good deal on one of these, it would certainly seem like a very worthwhile buy. Definitely at the top of my purchase list, at least for now.
