    My car

I think the Ford B-max looks good for a small MPV. In my opinion, the car is good to drive. The steering is sharp and accurate, the ride (although firm) is comfortable around town and on the motorway with only large bumps / potholes being felt. The driving position is good as you sit a little higher than in a normal supermini and getting both people or things in and out of the car is very easy thanks to the sliding rear doors and wide opening front doors. Although the 1.6 diesel only has 95 BHP and has a 0-60 time of over 13 seconds, it doesn’t feel as the figures suggest, although compared with Ford 1.6 115 BHP engine, it certainly doesn’t feel as powerful. Ford Sync is also a brilliant bit of technology and is very easy to use.

Overall imp generally happy with B-max ownership, however there are a few bad points that are missed in other reviews.

    1. Wing mirrors are simply too small. They are the same ones used as the Fiesta and they are not suited to the larger dimensions of the B-Max. Problem is with the curved shape. Personally I think they need to be twice as big. Checking what’s behind you so that you can move lanes is difficult. 2. 1.6 diesel engine is rather noisy and clatter round town. 3. The heating controls are fidly. The buttons are too small and positioned too far down. Also the heater vents themselves are literally useless at clearing the windows of fog / mist. 4. The sliding doors are great for access, but their too heavy. The boot could have been
