I just bought this Fiesta to replace a 13-year-old Fiesta Encore (1.3 Endura-E Petrol).
What I like about the new car: - Very quiet, spacious, comfortable and luxurious inside, compared to my old car anyway. - If you're prepared to rev the engine above 3000rpm, the car feels really quite powerful and fast. - The boot is surprisingly large. - Because the base of the windscreen is so far forward, it's possible to carry objects as long as 2.7m inside the car (eg. bits of timber). - Lots of gadgets that I hope I will never use: ABS, ASP, several airbags. - People tell me it looks nice. - Steering is light at low speeds. - Steering-wheel-mounted stereo controls. - Surprising amount of empty space under the bonnet, which should make servicing easier. - The heater starts providing warm air very soon after the engine has been started.
What I don't like so much: - After 1000 miles, I'm only averaging 47mpg. I averaged 49mpg in my previous 13-year-old 1.3 petrol Fiesta. Maybe the fuel consumption will improve over time. - It has less low-end torque than my old car. - The steering is a bit vague at motorway speeds, compared to my old car which did not have power steering. - Reversing is made more difficult by the small rear windows.
I have the standard take up model which I love as I'm 18 with a brand new car. This car is perfect in many ways as I can afford it by only working…
This, my second I10, is a better all round proposition than the 1.2 Classic Mark 1 that preceeded it. Fit, finish, paintwork and equipment is much…
