    My car

    I got a test drive on this car as they came out. As I currently own a Mk6 Fiesta, I was interested in seeing how Ford had raised the bar. The only car the dealer had at the time was the 1.4TDCi, in 5 Door Zetec trim.

    The car was excellent - It rode very well, handled well, and wind/road noise was far better insulated than before. Over shoulder visibility on the motorway is poor, but the large wing mirrors make up a little.

    On a mix of town, stop start and a bit of motorway driving, 3 up, with the AC on, I averaged 54.3mpg which was impressive. However, I thought the engine was a little gutless. Sure it had a lot of torque around town and it was great, but on the motorway slipway, foot to the floor in 3rd, it was very sluggish.

    Overall however, I would throughly recommend the new Fiesta!!
