I got my car 2 months after passing my driving test, and based on the first 4 months and 9000 miles, I can conclude its brilliant, but has a small boot. In terms of driving, its flat up to 2000rpm, but from there it almost acts like a turbocharged unit, its very lively. The handling is superb on my B road blast to work in the morning, whether its the standard fit Continental Contisport tyres or not, it grips strong and true, only starting to push wide if the road surface starts becoming rough mid-corner. When cornering hard, the inside rear wheel begins losing grip, giving me the feeling its trying to push me wide. The steering is direct, full of feel, well weighted and communicative. The interior design is attractive, but clunky heater controls dissapoint. Standard kit is low, but mine as the heated leather and voice controlled bluetooth. The heated windscreen is great in winter, 15 or 20 seconds to clear ice. The driving position is great, im 6ft 2and 18st and have no problems, and my girlfriend at 4ft 11 can get comfy. Rear space is acceptable for this type of car, and the rear leather is fantastic. The biggest letdown on this car is the bootspace. On my previous Mk5 fiesta, 2 sets of golf clubs fitted, but in this one, only 1 fits and it has to be put in diagonally leaving no other space. The styling is great, and has introduced me to loads of new people who spoke to me because they got attracted to such a swanky car, just beware, the front body kit is low.
Had this car since mid December & I love it to bits. It's giving me decent MPG, pretty quick, looks great & is a real head turner as I opted to have it in Frozen White. All in all, 10/10!
Brilliant, traded it for my corsa and found it in a different league. It feels like a bigger car and the build has improved from the mk6 with hardly any road noise in the cabin. 1.6 engine is a dream, puliing well in every gear. Big boot, confortable seats, smooth ride even though its the sporty one, good steering. the only problem i have with this car is the visability and the scuffin of the gear surround when you put it in 5th gear.
