What does it cost?
For The Ford Mondeo 2.2 TDCi 200 Titanium X Sport has the most powerful Mondeo diesel engine, but despite that, it feels diasappointly flat at the bottom of the rev range. Titanium X Sport is top of the range and comes with all the kit you’ll ever need.
Against Carries a hefty price premium over the ample 2.0 TDCi, and Titanium X Sport trim pushes the price uncomfortably high.

The Ford Mondeo 2.2 TDCi 200 Titanium X Sport has a slightly disappointing engine, and certainly not worth the premium over the excellent 2.0 TDCis. Lower trims are a much better compromise on price versus equipment, too.

Target Price team says:
With so many Mondeos likely to be bought with company money and pounded up and down the country's motorway network, good fuel consumption and low company car tax rates are vital, so we prefer the punchy and frugal diesel-powered versions.
The pick of the range is the 1.6 TDCi 115, which feels perfectly suited to the car. It's hugely efficient, too, so much so that it's our current Green Family Car of the Year. By comparison, the 1.6-litre non-turbo petrol engine occasionally struggles to shift the car.
Trim-wise, you're best off sticking with lower trims, such as Zetec or Edge, which give you all the important bits of kit as standard.
