For The Hyundai i40 Tourer is cheaper than key rivals and it’s available with some very efficient diesel engines. The cabin is classy, and every version comes well equipped.
Against Many rivals are better to drive, and while the boot is large, it’s not particularly well shaped. The driving position is compromised, too.

There are three trims with the Hyundai i40 Tourer, and we reckon you needn’t look past the entry-level Active: this comes with a long list of standard kit, including alloy wheels, air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls and automatic lights and wipers.
The 1.6-litre petrol model and the two diesels are all available in both standard and Blue Drive form – the latter incorporates engine stop-start technology, which helps cuts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Like all Hyundais, the i40 comes with the company’s Five Year Triple Care package, which includes a five-year warranty, five years’ roadside assistance and five years of annual vehicle health checks.
