I have been lucky enough to have had some nice cars. I have just sold my Gen 2 Porsche Carrera S Cabriolet. Whilst the Porsche is a "drivers car" it did sometimes become a bit tiresome. The rock hard ride, tyre noise and lack of luxury was too much(I am only 44, before you say anything!). I brought an 8 month old XKR convertible and I absolutely love everything about it. The noise is worth the price alone. It has every gadget you could ask for, although the interface screen could be more intuitive. I love the magic carpet ride, the power at whatever speed and the beauty of the car. The service I had from the dealer was first class and having saved over 40% against the new price, I feel that it is superb value for money. I would feel a bit sick if i'd paid full price for it new however. At this stage the fuel consumption is a bit worrying. 16 mpg in town and 22 on the motorway. As I only do about 6000 a year it is not too big a deal.
There are no niggles or problems with the car, so still in the honeymoon stage.
Every time I get out the car I look back at it and just love it.There are not many cars that make you feel that way nowadays.
I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a smooth, fast, luxurious convertible.
My jag is fantastic. It goes like thunder an also sounds like it. I would never change it for any other of its rivals and I highly recommend it to you people that are looking for that car in its range.
