My car

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

My car

I bought a kia ceed sw ls (113bhp)on the 26th june and what can I say. Well in the first six weeks it has up to now proven not to be a good buy. There was a knocking sound comming from the steering when on un-even surfaces from new so I took the car back to the dealer. Then I collected a mechanic and drove around to try to identify the fault. Having looked at the car it was decided to change the shock-absorbers, while changing the shock-absorbers they found that the brake caliper mountings were loose (nice one) then we hoped the knocking had stopped. "ERR NO still there" So after a little time drastic action was taken (nothing too important) just a STEERING COLOMN. I contacted Kia and they just said we will put this on file for future records (how nice) This is my second kia from new and with no problems with my first one I hoped it would be the same but not to be. The car seems fine for now but my confidence is fairly low for this car and i would be hard pushed to endorse this car what so ever I think this is the end of my kia buying days

I have just bought a ceed 1.6 d ls sw its amazing for the price I paid £12800 new with 17" alloy up grade its quite and very punchy little engine.

Good ride and build quality dealership was faultless for customer care too.

Would recommend anyone to buy this car!!!

My car

Bought a SW LS CDRi 113hp on the diesel for petrol price deal.

Dealership was excellent and kept me well informed and added paint guard protection FOC all in £13995

Driving the car is a revelation, very sure footed for an estate, very good torque and acceleration. Fuel economy outstanding, easily achieves 45+ mpg, and better on longer run.

All controls functional and well laid out, seats very comfortable, ride is firm, just how I like it.

Layout and space in load space is near Mondeo proportions.

Climate control, audio system(USB functionality for MP3) good.

Overall build quality is faultless.

Only dislike is the steering which takes some getting used to, as its electric powered, but its its only a gripe and takes nothig away from the excellent car as a whole.

Overall... an excellent estate car at a silly price... get one quick, the waiting list is growing, and the prices are sure to rise once the word gets around.
