For The Kia Ceed Sportswagon is good value for money, with lots of space, a high quality cabin and lots of kit for a very competitive price.

Against It’s noisy and not as good to drive as many European rivals. The engines aren’t that powerful, either.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

Kia has ditched the petrol option and gone for diesel only in the Kia Ceed Sportswagon. This makes your choice of engine far easier. The 89bhp 1.4 will be flexible enough for most, if not especially fast, while the 126bhp 1.6-litre unit has a more muscular power delivery.

There’s a wide range of trims available, so you can spec your car to be basic and cheap or fully tooled-up, with various degrees in between. Whichever model you go for, you’ll get air-con, front electric windows, central locking, an iPod-compatible CD stereo and Bluetooth connectivity at the very least.

Due to the high level of equipment, you don’t need to go too high in the range to get all you need. The top-level trims are quite expensive, so these versions don’t really deliver on the Kia’s budget estate appeal.
