We're yet to drive the Kia Sportage 2.0 KX-3. As soon as we do, our verdict will appear here online.
The Kia Sportage is aimed squarely at the likes of crossovers such as the Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai and VW Tiguan. As with those cars, the front-wheel-drive diesel-engined versions are expected to be the most popular models.
However, our favourite is the 1.6-litre petrol. True, it isn't as economical as the diesels and it’s not exactly quick. However, it’s the cheapest Kia Sportage to buy, and it feels perkier than the 1.7 diesel.
The entry-level 1 trim is all you’ll need, too. It comes with plenty of kit, including alloys, air-con, four electric windows, a rain sensor, Bluetooth and cruise control. 2-trimmed models add parking sensors, a sunroof and part-leather seats, while 3 models have full leather, climate control and xenon headlamps.
Whichever of the four engines you go for, and whether you opt for two- or four-wheel drive, you’ll have the peace of mind of a seven-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.Owned a Kia Sportage kx-3 1.7 diesel since Jan 2011, wanted to give it a good run in before leaving any review.
