Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

With just three trim levels and three engine options, choosing the correct Range Rover isn’t too daunting. However, our money would go on one of the cheaper ones: a mid-spec Vogue SE, powered by the V6 diesel. It has all the kit that you’ll need, and the V6 is both the most refined diesel and the cheapest to run. You barely notice the fact that it’s down on power compared with the V8 diesel.

As usual with luxury cars, it’s worth being careful with options. Uprated hi-fis and the four-seat executive seat options are several thousand pounds for instance, so you need to really want them. Be careful, too, as going for four seats also means that you aren’t able to drop the back seats to carry larger loads.

Make sure you make the right tyre choice, too. It’s best not to get anything bigger than 20s, as it will impact on the off-road potential and ride quality. It’s one of the few flaws in this car’s dynamic package.
