Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

Many a 4x4 claims to be more sports than utility, but the Mazda CX-7 is one of a very few that manages to pull off this feat. Yes, there's the four-wheel drive and raised stance you'd expect with an off-roader, but the CX-7 is based on the previous-generation Mazda 6 MPS, and that makes it a rorty, sporty machine.

It handles corners with polished ease and very little in the way of body lean thanks to suspension that is not easily deflected from its given task.

As has always been the case with this model, there's just the one engine to choose from, but at last that one engine is the diesel engine the car has been crying out for. It returns a decent average economy, although the high emissions aren't good news for anyone choosing this as a company car.
